In June, California Kiteboarding teamed up with Starboard and Dana McGregor for a Starboard SUP Demo and Dana’s kid’s camp. The event took place at Shell Beach, just north of Pismo Beach in San Luis Obispo County and hosted about 20 curious SUP boarders. California Kiteboarding’s Oliver Issa said the demo was great for those […]
Stand up paddle boarding brothers Julien and Camille Bouyer shared the above video on their YouTube page, tandem SUP surfing in their home of Île de Ré, an island off of France. The brothers both jumped onto a 2016 Naish Mana 9’10” inflatable board to take on the waves. Though the video features many wipe outs, the […]

On September 14th, 2014 Jason Lee, Peter Johnson and Steve Nyswonger competed in the 2014 Tahoe Fall Classic 22-mile stand-up paddleboard race. This is a compilation of videos taken of the race, along with videos of their friends and family during their time in South Lake Tahoe.
Jason, Natalie, Arianna, Steve and myself Bianca began our 7-hour long drive from San Luis Obispo to South Lake Tahoe for the 22-mile Tahoe Fall Classic paddleboard race in Jason’s Sprinter van. Peter and his girlfriend Chase were driving separately in Jason’s pickup truck with the 7 paddleboards strapped onto the back.
In a couple of months, on September 14th, Jason and Peter will be doing the 22-mile stand up paddleboarding race in Tahoe. To prepare for the Tahoe Fall Classic, Jason and Peter have been rigorously training 3 to 4 times a week.
Matthew Shea came into our shop this past week to pick up two new SUP boards for himself and his wife. Matthew bought the 2014 Starboard Blend 11’2″ for his wife and the 2014 Naish Nalu 11’4″ GS for himself.
